Our privacy policy and how we use your data

Boothic SMPC, 10 Matsa Str, Athens, 14564, Greece (“Patentmarket”, “we”) is the controller of the personal data processed through Patentmarket.ai and is committed to protecting it in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Greek data protection law. Your name, e-mail address and sign-in method; the profile information you choose to provide (organisation, website, country, description, picture); the listings, messages and offers you submit; notification preferences; and technical and usage data such as IP address, browser information and the pages you visit.
We process this data to create and secure your account, to publish your listings, to deliver messages and offers between buyers and patent holders, to send the notifications you have opted in to, to answer support requests and to keep the Platform working and safe. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you (Terms of Service), our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the Platform, your consent where it is requested (for example for optional e-mails), and compliance with legal obligations.
Messages and offers are stored so that they can be delivered to the other party and so that both parties keep a record of their negotiation. They are private communications between users: Patentmarket does not read, monitor, moderate or analyse them, and accesses them only where required by law, to comply with an order of a court or authority, or to investigate a report of abuse. Information you share in a conversation is visible to the other party, who may keep and use it; share only what you are comfortable disclosing.
Listings and public profile information are visible to all visitors and may be indexed by search engines. They are provided by users and are not verified by Patentmarket. Do not include personal data of third parties in a listing without their permission.
Data is stored on encrypted infrastructure of our service providers in the European Union and the United States under appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses) and is retained for as long as your account exists and thereafter only as required to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
You can delete your account at any time from Settings (Manage sign-in and security, then Security, then Delete account) or by e-mailing info@patentmarket.ai. Deleting your account erases your profile data: name, e-mail address, photo, organisation, website, country and biography, together with your notifications and saved listings. Listings you published are removed. Where you exchanged messages with another user, the messages remain visible to that user with your name replaced by "Deleted user", so that they keep their record of the exchange, and a listing those messages refer to is kept unpublished for the same reason. If you also need a message you wrote erased, e-mail us.
We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that process it on our behalf and under our instructions to operate the Platform: authentication, hosting and content delivery, database, AI search of listings and e-mail delivery. Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement.

You may request access to, correction, deletion or portability of your data, object to or restrict its processing and withdraw consent at any time by e-mailing info@patentmarket.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (dpa.gr) or the supervisory authority of your country of residence.
